Easy saffron tea to help combat depression.
Ingredients
- 3-6 strands of saffron
- .5 liters water
- optional: 1/4 of a crushed cardamon pod, 1-4 tablespoons honey, tea bag of choice, any type of milk, fresh ginger, lemon slice, orange slice, cinnamon, rose petals, fresh mint, other types of tea, etc.
Instructions
- Boil the water
- Get your favorite cup
- Add saffron and optional items: *don't use all of these, 0-2 is preferred.
- Fill cup
- Steep for 1-5 min.
- Relax and enjoy.
Tips
*Substitute cows milk for any type of milk; camel, goat, coconut, almond or oat. You could even use bogart or sour cream if needed. But you may need to add a little more honey.
*Use as much or a little saffron as you like. It can be ground or in whole form. Its best to consume any leftover saffron after drinking the tea to get all of the benefits.
